WELCOME TO CHILDREN OF FIRE

In a country plagued with poverty, the masses have become dependent on informal sources for heat and light. As a result, shack fires have become an unremitting scourge facing urban townships with more than 23 000 people a year being left homeless and scarred for life, the majority being children.

Focusing on the rehabilition of child burn survivors, Children of Fire aims to better their lives through reconstructive surgery, education and support.
